Succulent

Care Instructions

    • Frequency: Water succulents thoroughly but infrequently. Allow the soil to dry completely between waterings. We recommend every 2-3 weeks. If in extreme heat, can increase the frequency to every 1.5 weeks.

    • Method: Water until you see it draining from the bottom of the pot. Can water from bottom as well.

    • Winter: Reduce watering during the winter months when the plant's growth slows.

  • All of our plants have dedicated labels indicating what kind of sun exposure it needs. Please see label for specific level of sun exposure.

    • Type: Use a well-draining soil mix, ideally a cactus or succulent blend. We also have soil available to purchase at store. You can also add perlite or sand to increase drain-ability.

    • Pot: Choose pots with drainage holes to prevent waterlogging and root rot.

  • All of our labels indicate the lowest temperature specific plant can tolerate. In general, succulents thrive in temperature of 50-80F.

  • Repot when roots have reached bottom of the container. Repotting into appropriate sized pot will prevent over or underwatering.

  • Periodic removal of dead leaves will ensure healthiness of plant and prevent bugs/diseases.

Tillandsia

(Air Plant) Care Instructions

    • Frequency: Water air plants once a week. Adjust based on humidity and light conditions—more frequent watering in dry or bright environments.

    • Method: Soak the plant or the root of the plant in room-temperature water for about 5 to 10 minutes (longer for larger plants). Ensure thorough saturation.

    • Drying: After soaking, shake off excess water and let the plant dry completely upside down on a towel or rack for a few hours. This prevents water from collecting in the base of the leaves and causing rot.

    • Ideal: Place air plants in bright, indirect sunlight. They thrive under fluorescent or filtered light.

    • Avoid: Direct, harsh sunlight, which can cause leaf burn or damage.

  • Air plants prefer temperatures between 50-90F. Avoid extreme temperatures and drafts.
